It's so cold. The kind of cold where you think it will never thaw out and we're just going to be in permanent winter; however, Winter's really used to just be like this. They used to be pretty cold and shitty. I remember years in college where it snowed, every day. I remember walking to class in the snow, for weeks. So, while we may not be acclimated to it, it's not entirely unusual. The arctic blasts are a bit much though....
I'm enjoying having to be stuck in the house a bit, we have some projects that keep getting pushed down the road that we've been working on. Some of them have been pushed upon us... hello new water heater and dryer. And some are just things that you live with (like not having curtain in the upstairs). We're going out of town for a wedding and nothing is more humbling that acknoledging the things you live with that you'll have to explain to the house sitter.... Sorry there's locks on the guest room door, we had to bring the monstera in the house and the cats are determined to eat her. So I'll be mopping the front porch and deep cleaning the fridge over the weekend. Because priorities.
I've been really enjoying my walking pad, though I feel like a cheetah in a too small zoo enclosure, pacing the fence line. I miss hitting the trails and woods with Marie. Marie also misses walking and sits next to the walking pad while I walk which is... sad. I've considered getting a second one for her but the logistics... for now she'll have to wait it out.
Health Coaching updates: Towards the end of December I finished my Master Primal Health Coaching certification, I've got the badge to prove it and everything! One day I'll update my website to include it as well. If you are interested in health coaching session you can dowload a discovery form and book a discovery call with me to get started! Discovery calls are always free, it's a chance for us to see if we can align on your goals and make sure we can work together as a team before we get started. This isn't me building a basic ass plan for you to follow; this is us having weekly collaborative sessions that set you up for sucess with your goals, week after week. The program lasts 12 weeks, but the results last a lifetime.

Pilates training updates: This is my last weekend for official Pilates Teacher Trainings! We're going to be working on Cadillac, Tower and generally rounding out the training. I had SOOOO much fun with the Spine Corrector I've been looking at them online and considering adding them to my intro classes. I'll be offering private sessions at Lifted in Downtown Columbus to get more practice on some of the more specialized equipment this Spring and Summer, I just need to workout the details there. After this I'll be getting in my teaching hours and preparing for my PMA exam, my goal is to have that completed by Fall '26.
Social Media stuff: I'm doing a 100 day Hundreds challenge on Tiktok! If you would like to follow along and work on building a consistent practice, join me! You can do it on your own or stitch a video of your own practice. I'm always excited to see your practice space! I'm realizing just how WHITE my walls are and that I've been in my house 3 years come the end of the month... It's probably time to start customizing that space a bit. I have some BIG ideas for the space, but just keep putting them off. Painting always ends up being a bigger project than anticipated. I had a wild thought to do some wallpapering....
Side note: If anyone has creative solutions for cat litter, let a girl know. I spend more time sweeping than practicing in my practice space (IFYKYK), and it would really be ideal if I could avoid that.
In-Person class updates: I've started teaching at Restore in St. Clairsville! I'm there Wednesdays, I teach a chair class at 1030 and a Warm Restorative at 1900.
I'm teaching Slow Flow Fridays at 0900 at the Flying Spoon and I'm offering an Intro to Pilates class Thursdays at 1700. You can sign up for Pilates online, and Friday morning classes are walk-ins!
