A mini adventure: Columbus, Ohio

Thursday: Sometimes the best days are the unexpected adventures. With wrapping up my Pilates program, one of the ways I keep consistent with my self-practice hours and training hours is to take Private lessons at Lifted Studio in Columbus with Jordan Sugarman. My goal is to make it out twice a month, but with LIFE I make it about once a month.
Ben had an unexpected day off so he decided to come with me; he was my victim for apprenticeship hours. I spent an hour in a private session on the reformer and then he spent some time as well. The difference between teaching to my peers and teaching to someone with less experience really helps me grow as a teacher.

Shopping:
We spent some time in Columbus last year and are slowly developing a list of places we love. One of them is Prologue bookshop. Last time I was there I bought the book of Alchemy, which if you are looking to start a journaling practice, I highly recommend. Suleika Jaouad and all her contributors have created a wonderful, accessible collection of prompts that span across 100 days. It's one of those super homey bookstores where you want to sit in one of the comfy chairs and read all afternoon. Unfortunately, we only paid for an hour of parking so we couldn't do that. Upon leaving, we walked next door to Roaming Goat coffee and got some joe to go for the road.
Ordering dinner:
The best part of eating primal is being able to find a good meal anywhere. Last time we were in Columbus we found a place called Ted's Montana Grill when we were out shopping. They are owned by Ted Turner Enterprises, and own over 45, 000 Bison.
I tried a Bison Burger! I'm pretty sure it's the first time that I tried Bison. It was tender and flavorful. I ordered it as a Skinny Burger so it came with no bun and avocado (which is my favorite) I ordered a side of Bacon and got some butter to go with it because the lovely server went back and checked and found out it was a 90/10 blend for the meat. They might cook with seed oils on the grill but I asked them to cook the burger on tin foil. Upon a trip to the ladies room, I peeked into the kitchen and they were slicing up fresh potatoes for chips.
10/10, would recommend, also I recommend checking out their website and going down the rabbit hole of the vacations they offer and drooling over the pictures of open land and wildlife. The best part of primal living is being able to find meals that fit my preferences wherever we go. Interested in food freedom and learning how to order custom dishes at restaurant? You can schedule a disovery call with me by going to my website, downloading a discovery form and booking a discovery call with me. The discovery call is alwasy free (like a first date, we're just trying to see if we're a fit for each other).

An unexpected purchase:
One of the things I discovered in Mexico, was that I REALLY love espresso, specifically, espresso at the press of a button. The Nespresso machine in our room was a game changer, however I hesistant to purchase because, well, waste. However, did you know Nespresso is a certified B corp, and that their pods are aluminum and recyclable. Welcome home Nessie.
Interested in joining the Nespresso family, I have a referral code! UVHCM8. You can get $40 off a new machine and a free capsule dispenser.

Be your own best friend! Love you all!
